Near mint condition - complete - 40 cards
|Number of Books:||1|
In the 1950s, quartets / happy families was a very popular card game. There were games in all shapes and sizes. There were also mini games, usually released by companies in the promotional support of their products or services.
In the 1950s, this beautiful Tom Poes mini Quartet game was released.
The game with 40 small cards (3.8 × 2.2 cm) was made in promotional support of cigarette paper manufacturer Rolfix. The cards were a free gift with a pack of cigarette paper, and customers could save up a complete set. The small cards of the game show 40 main characters from the stories of Marten Toonder in characteristic poses.
Some of the 40 cards are shown in the pictures. The cards are in a cover for stamps (this cover is not included in this lot), so the scans show a small plastic edge at the top. The game offered here is still in excellent condition.
