End of the 20th century - Good condition
This DOGON door, used to close an above ground granary, has a characteristic expression. Also, this door is richly ornamented with references to mythical figures who are also fertility symbols. Reptiles, snakes and lizards, are protectors of the harvest.
In addition, the locking mechanism, located in the middle on the side, is made of wood.
This door weighs at least 3 kilograms, has a height of 54,3 cm and a width of 43,5 cm.
The pictures were taken with flash and in daylight (outdoor), in order for you to have a better impression of the decoration, as well as the patina.
