Jaguar E - Type series 1 4.2 OTS of 1966 in good condition.

European version with left hand drive and odometer in km/h. 4-speed manual transmission and originally "Opalescent Golden Sand" colour with black leather upholstery and black hood. It was sold on June 22, 1966 by the French importer Charles Delecroix in Paris to Mr. J.C. Guillaume. Three years later he was imported to Spain and finally registered on March 24, 1969 in Barcelona with a chassis number from Spanish Customs.

The car currently shows 70,683 km, unverifiable but could be real, as the last 40 years has been owned by several fans of the classics in Barcelona. During that time it has been maintained but never completely restored. It has been painted in garnet colour and upholstered in clay-coloured leather. The area of the engine compartment is painted in black and upholstered inside the hood in Hardura vinyl.

The condition of the car is correct but needs work. It is a good basis to enjoy as it is and continue to improve it to build a competition car. It has never had any accidents and both the front subframe and the rear axle and the body show no corrosion or rust.

The painting of the body, although it is old, is still bright and uniform although it has defects, frictions and bubbles in certain areas, visible in the photographs. The chrome parts are the original ones and they are in good condition. The interior leather upholstery is in very good condition. The hood is made of black canvas and is in good use just like the frame. The windows are in good condition and without scratches.

Mechanically the car just passed the Spanish MOT (ITV) favourably. Steering, brakes, suspension and chassis without defects. The engine has strength, shows the correct oil pressure and does not get hot. The clutch however in working condition, it needs to be revised (probably a more continuous use would solve the problem).
