My father inspired by Bottecelli paintings found in my mother’s beauty one of his muse. These prints belong to a series of diapositivas that were hidden. The rocks in La Isla de Cerdeña, Italy was a revelation of the venus naked in a shell by Bottecelli in the birth of venus . Because the Revolution had closed his Korda Studios and confiscated all his work so, he kept these photographs in secret. He kept his passion for the pure beauty in a young woman.
Author: Alberto Korda, my father, best known for his photo “Guerrillero Heróico” the photo that made a man’s life a legend.
My father was one of the few cuban photojournalists responsible for capturing the world’s attention with the Cuban Revolution Propaganda.
