4 Old school posters with a beautiful portrait from the 1930s of Haarlem, Maasstricht, Horn and in Friesland
These 4 relatively small school posters are published by Jakob Dijkstra in Groningen around 1935 and signed by the illustrator Stan the Reuder. The dimensions are 40 x 30 cm and in a very good condition.
They show beautiful city views and images in The Netherlands:
- Maastricht: Vrijthof Square with St. Servaas church
- Hoorn: With the main guard
- Haarlem: Amsterdamsepoort
- Terp in Friesland.
A fine example of so-called visual education. In that time, children often did not yet explore beyond their own village or town.
The school posters are from the series "capitals" and "points of interest"
The school posters will be shipped well packaged by Post.NL or pick up in Groningen.
