Family Dog Stanley Mouse dead mint Hippie dance Concert rare psychedelic 1966 Poster

Condition: Very Good

This is a very rare Family Dog Concert Poster (approx. 14 x 20 inch)

Show dates were 9/9-10/66at the legendary Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco.
It was used to promote a pair of shows featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service and The Great Society.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great Society was:********SOMEBODY TO LOVE*********
The Great Society (aka The Great!! Society!!) was a 1960s San Francisco rock band that existed from 1965 to 1966, and was closely associated with the burgeoning Bay Area acid rock scene. Best known as the original group of model-turned-singer Grace Slick, the initial line-up of the band also featured her then-husband Jerry Slick on drums, his brother Darby Slick on guitar, David Miner on vocals and guitar, Bard DuPont on bass, and Peter van Gelder on flute, bass, and saxophone.
The band made its debut at the Coffee Gallery in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood on October 15, 1965 and continued to perform throughout 1966.
Somebody to Love was issued in February 1966 and the rest is history.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This classic sixties psychedelic image was the 25th image in the Family Dog Series.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Poster's name called "INDIAN".
The central image is a very detailed photograph of the profile of the face of an older Native American man.
unlike the photograph in the logo of the Family Dog which was modified to give it a weird quality.
The man in the image was named Bear Bull. He was from the Blackfoot tribe.
The photo was taken by Edward S. Curtis and dates from 1926.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Artwork by Mouse Studios, Stanley Mouse and the late Alton Kelly.
Mouse and Kelley helped to establish the psychedelic style of expression under the name Mouse Studios.
THRILLED POSTER.....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very striking psychedelic Artwork, not easy to find, framed brilliant and very beautiful.
The poster has been very carefully preserved for over forty-five years, and is in a very good condition.
A very very clean poster, bright colors, framed beautiful. …

Je suis très déçu avec l'impression d'avoir réceptionné une copie et non pas une affiche originale .......
