Cortébert in-house 15 jewel sub-second movement with Incabloc, calibre #665 (serviced for auction); housed in Staybrite fixed lugs stainless steel case. New contemporary style French handmade crocodile strap. Neither box nor papers.
Up for auction is a very rare and attractive Cortébert men's dress watch from the early 1950s. The iconic calibre #665 movement has just been serviced (cost 60€) and is keeping time. Neither the dial (measures 25.69mms less original crown) nor the Staybrite stainless steel case has been restored. The case is fitted with a contemporary French handmade crocodile strap which will fit a wrist to 19.50cms.
As always, and particularly in the case of this Cortébert, I urge you to examine the High Definition photos carefully as they form the major part of this fine vintage wristwatch's description.
The watch will be well wrapped (see my Feedback and bid with confidence!) and shipped via Colissimo International Insured & Signed For.

Az eladó nem térítette meg ezt az összeget. You were sent a letter and a guide on how to look after your new vintage watch for which you paid 55€. You obviously over wound the watch which is why it would run for three hours then stop. You took it to a watchmaker who fitted a new spring for 25€.
This valuable and rare vintage watch is more than 80 years old. I would rather send you 80€ and ask for it back than think that it is now owned by someone who has no mechanical sympathy.
Finally the watch was checked for 24 hours before shipment and had been serviced as well. This is why you only paid 25€ for the spring and were not told by the watchmaker that it needed servicing as well!

Hamilton Thin-o-matic: Does run, but second hand fell off immediately, needs extensive servicing and the case is damaged by a previous owner trying to open it in the wrong way.It is said that the camera can lie but in this case it is evidence that damaging the case by incorrect opening would be somewhat difficult! The case shows no sign of damage in the photos and anyway the movement is not accessed via it.
The service was carried out by my watchmaker, a graduate of the Longines School of Watchmaking. Furthermore as I am known to be an honest seller on Catawiki, I made you an offer of returning the watch at my expense. I now withdraw that offer.
