Franklin Mint - Scale 1/24 - 1904 Mercedes Simplex

This is a beautiful Franklin Mint Diecast 1904 Mercedes Simplex In 1904 Mercedes introduced the Simplex. Of course, "simple" meant five pedals, a spark advance, throttle lever, outside mounted brake lever and numerous switches, valves and handles to occupy the driver's attention. By the way, there was no windshield. Simple would be a good way to describe the 1:24 scale die cast model by Franklin Mint. This early model has a surprising amount of fine detail. The front wheels steer and the hood opens to reveal the odd-looking engine with a decent amount of detailing. The finish is done in glossy beige with beautifully applied, fine pinstriping. Simulated wood-spoke wheels, bright red undercarriage parts, soft, leather-look seats, Wood above the engine compartment and lots of simulated brass-finished parts complete the package. The pictures are a big part of my description, please view pictures for condition. No original packing included In my opinion the Franklin Mint models are undervalued in the European market. They are very high precision models and when you look at the Tag (grey and white checker pattern) of the cars, they are the same as on the 1:24 CMC models. This because there produced in the same factory. The quality and use of materials is very good and a lot of very nice details are find on the Franklin Mint models. Look also for my other auctions, it could save you shipping cost.
