Anterior to 1930 - Very nice condition
Typical Sundi Yombe Rainmaker statue, purchased from P.W. from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Early 20th century, probably between 1905 and 1925. It comes from a monastery in Maastricht.
Remains of kaolin, Mayombe, was formerly a dance staff for the klimba-initiandi. A similar one can be seen in the collection of K.U Leuven by the mission van Scheut, Kangu.
This is a unique piece carved in beautiful wood collected by the missionaries for the Sacred Heart from Maastricht
Length 40 cm ; 330 grams ; comes without stand.
