Saddle bag from the Tuareg people who move with their herds and camels over vast areas of the Sahara desert. They create impressive, functional objects from leather which are durable, light and flexible, excellent characteristics when traveling under harsh conditions.
This bag is made from camel leather decorated with dyed goat leather and embroidery, it is labouriously hand made by Tuareg women in geometric abstract designs.
This bag is an old one in wonderful condition. It was used to store clothing and food during travelling through the Sahara.
Dimensions (lxbxh) : 73 cm x 15 cm x 45 cm and its weight is 1.9 kg.
