Conditie: A good impression in good condition inside the plate border. Full plate border and margins..
Small restored spot at left margin corner..
The sitting Terpsichore, the museof the singing and dance, plays the lute. Right at her feet lie a winch and a book. Under the show two two-part verses in Latin. Signed HG Invent, CJVisscher Excud.
This print was engraved in the 1601-1652 period (source Rijksmuseum Amsterdam). It is an engraving by another hand after the Golzius print known as New Hollstein Dutch 133-copy d (Hirschmann 1921 152, Hollstein 152 ,Strauss 1977 303 , Bartsch III.45.153)
