Philips 860 (1975) stereo MW/LW/FM and Turnolock.
This classic, at least 41 year old Philips 860 was a top radio in 1975/1976 and was equipped with many features and was therefore very popular among all music enthusiasts. The quality is clearly evident, as amongst other things, the Philips 860 was an original factory option on new Ferrari's (see photos 14 and 15) but was also placed in other high-end classics such as in the Camaro (photo 16).
Obviously this Philips will fit into and make of classis car, especially with the working 'turnolock' preset system. This Philips has been tested and works well, with excellent reception and excellent (2 x6 W) mono and stereo playback. The IAC interference suppressor on FM underlines the quality of this classic top radio by Philips. The buttons: on/off - tone control - balance - channel search, all work well as does the lighting (standard and stereo indicators). The cassette player also works just fine with high speed forward and rewind, and auto shut-off at the end of the cassette. The Philips features a fuse-protected power cord, 2 speaker plugs and a fitting and assembly front. The default faceplate was replaced by a hard plastic faceplate. In short, a good working Philips stereo from the 1970s giving the buyer an opportunity to purchase a Turnolock 860 for his or her beloved classic automobile. Of course, the Philips 860 will be properly packaged and sent registered and insured.
