1950s, Italy

A beautiful, Italian, 1950s golden amber-coloured glaze plant pot / vase from the mid 20th century.
Modern ceramics, crescent shape, numbered 937 at the bottom.
Produced by Ceramiche d’Arte Bertoncello in Sciavon Veneto, Italy.
This is a very special and rare piece by Bertoncello, hard to come by.
The item is in very beautiful condition, apart from two small chips, see photos 17 and 18.

Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte (established in 1956 in the small Italian town of Schiavon in the Vicenza province under the name 'LBP' after the initials of the founders, Mr. Lini, Mr. Bertoncello and Mr. Pizzato) was known for its ceramics, with sculptural, geometrical and dramatic shapes often with subtly rounded holes, during its heydays in the 1970s. They remind us of the works of Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth and of the architecture of that time.
The ceramic objects were made of white clay and then given a glaze which is called “Screziato”. The collection for sale has “Screziato Tabacco” glaze.

The material is glazed ceramics.
Size: 20 cm (H) x 34 cm (W) x 15 cm (D).
The Bertoncello pot / vase will be packaged with care and shipped with track and trace code.
