Silver headdress with inlaid corals and turquoises. The mosaic of stones symbolizes a lotus flower as well as the shape of a stupa. A thin braid was pulled through the small ring on the copper back to secure it to the wearer’s head. This was purchased in Lhasa from a Garze woman on a pilgrimage to see the holy sites.
