Pyu Culture period, 200-1000 CE, Western Myanmar

An extremely rare dyed carnelian bead with a special design from the Pyu Culture period, 200-400 CE, Western Myanmar. Original, hand-cut, dyed and carved. The holes are ancient, handmade, irregular, funnel-shaped. Its colour is original, probably enlarged at modern time to make the piece wearable. Nice ancient patina. It has been cleaned in a tumbler from the centuries deposits, so its surface is smooth and shiny. One part of the piece is missing probably due to the excavation.
L : 38 mm , D : 9,1 mm Shipping as registered mail-pack.
