For centuries, peoples bartered to exchange goods.
Then emerged the first true system of currency. The African continent is especially rich regarding currencies so-called “primitive”, many are made of black iron, a metal particularly sought.
This is a kind of currency is named “gond”
During the ceremonies, their owners brandished them in order to close the deal.
These primitive currencies served for offerings, dowries and, of course, for great festive and ceremonial occasions.
