These large meat eaters lived on the last moments of the Cretaceous and most probably went extinct when a large meteorite hit Earth's surface. They were the most fearsome hunter in the seas. These species of Mosasaur had a ring of bone on their eye for protection, enabling them to sustain the pressure in deep waters.
