Lot of two reproductions of works of 1935 of the painter Wilhelm Petersen representing two portraits by publisher Franz Hanfstaengl in Munich. The title of these two portraits is "Etudes de têtes" If you go to the website of www.wilhelm-petersen.de under the heading "De Mahler des Nordens", Ubersicht5" you will find one of the two portraits.
These reproductions were in many German barracks during World War II. Indeed, one can see an inscription of inventory "Luftgankommando Belgion Noordfrankreien" located behind the frames. These two frames have been left in a House commandeered by the Germans in the region of Florennes in Belgium. Indeed, the Germans have built a field of aviation at this location during the war.
