“La Tauromaquia” is a series of thirty-three prints published in 1816. Eleven additional works should be added to this series. These unpublished works were not included in the first edition due to minor flaws, but they were equally well know, it is a very rare 1960's facsimil edition.
From the first years of the 19th c. Goya had the intention to dedicate a series of prints to bullfighting. He created this collection slowly, with no specific schedule, probably due to the disruption caused by the war. According to several authors, Goya’s initial intention was to illustrate some passages of the “Carta histórica sobre el origen y proceso de las corridas de toros en España” (1777), written by Nicolás Fernández de Moratín. However, the artist went beyond his original idea and completed the series with events and personal memories -specially some famous moves of the time- related to bullfighting and external to Moratín’s work.

Le vendeur n'est pas clair du tout sur l'authenticité de cette lithographie, et de plus j'ai reçu un autre lithographie que celle qui était aux enchères. Vendeur à éviter

    Response by seller
Dear Buyer the lithograph comes with the original justification and was revised with the art experts, better is impossible, of course that we are very clear about the authenticity, I contacted with you and you never reply, if you want resolve it revise your mail, because if you received different lithograph is because it was error in shipping that we can resolve fast if you reply our mails, if not is impossible,....and one negative feedback from one buyer that never reply mails for resolve it is unacceptable and not fair.
