A specially decorated copy of an Economic Classic
|Book Title:||An Essay on the Distribution of Wealth and on the Sources of Taxation|
|Number of Books:||1|
London, John Murray
1st Edition. Complete and with text block in fine condition, 8vo (22 by 14cm), (4), xliv, 329, 49 with errata to verso of final leaf. Missing, as in most copies, is the errata leaf following the Copyright page. But, Half title present. Bound in full brown buckram with gilt title on spine. plus some fake Cnotes, Golf plated coins, and a Pre WWI German Reich Mark. Ex Libris St. Francis Seminary Salzman Library, St. Francis, Wis with their rubber stamp on the title page. Remnants of Library junk to f.e.p. A supposedly "Great" foundation stone of Economics, and especially the Historical School, it was soon bypassed by Marx and the Chicago School as well as the Khaldun-Laffer curve, and, lest we forget, Ayn Rand and the Austrian School--all of which, fittingly ended up in a Land Fill outside of Cleveland or a similar rust belt city. A terrific Xmas gift for a Sadist to give any of his friends/paramours or former Economics Professors.
