New condition - 21st century - Handmade in South Asia

Set with four beautiful cook’s knives made of Damascus steel.
Each knife has a unique pattern as they were handmade in artisanal fashion.

The history of Damascus steel goes back hundreds of years. The legend mentions Damascus knives so strong that they could cut the barrel of a gun and able to split a falling hair. These are of course legends, though it does indicate how special the knives are.

The grip of each knife is made of red lacquered wood.
The pattern on the blade is unique at every knife. This is caused by the artisanal melting process that is at the basis of these knives. A pattern that looks like running water is typical for the steel of a Damascus knife.

The knives are in new condition and have never been used.
Our company imports these knives exclusively from South Asia. They are not available in stores.

Technical specifications:
Hand forged, sharp blade of 1,095 and 15N20 high and low carbon steel, with more than 200 layers.
Detailed forging process (checked by an optical lens).
Precision heat treatment methods were use, so the sharpest edges are visible.
The hardness of the cook’s knives: 55 HRC on the Rockwell scale.

Characteristics of the knives: razor sharp, durable and anti-rust.

Long bread knife:
A total length of 37.5 cm.
The blade is 0.2 cm thick.
A blade width of 4 cm.
It has a net weight of 225 grams.

Long/narrow thin cook’s knife:
A total length of 30 cm.
The blade is 0.2 cm thick.
A blade width of 2.7 cm.
It has a net weight of 163 grams.

Santoku cook’s knife:
A total length of 28 cm.
The blade is 2 cm thick.
A blade width of 4.5 cm.
It has a net weight of 190 grams.

Tour down knife:
A total length of 21 cm.
The blade is 0.2 cm thick.
A blade width of 2.5 cm.
It has a net weight of 109 grams.

The maintenance of the knives:
Damascus steel is very special, an artisanal product with a high carbon value. This has as a consequence that the Damascus knives need special care for use and is best not to use a detergent when it is washed. It is recommended to clean these knives with water after use, dry them and provide them with a layer of (olive) oil. This way they keep their natural qualities.

After having received only very positive feedbacks on our sold items, this would be the very first time anyone would not be fully satisfied with the items. All our items are always very carefully finished and of very good quality.

Very important: this buyer never send any pictures to prove anything would not be perfectly in order. Therefore, this claim should not be taken seriously in any way.

The knives are exactly as we discribed. We made 27 pictures of the knife in the auction, from each angle possible. From close and from far. In order to make it very easy for the buyer to see exactly what each knife is, we hide nothing. You can see each part perfectly. Did the buyer check the pictures carefully? The pictures are the exact same items like he received. We are proud of our products and we are always trying to show and write in the text exactly what we sell.

In the message, buyer stated that he dis-arranged every blade of the set, so he already damaged the lot significantly. In conclusion: not serious and not trustworthy
