This is a hand-knotted Hamadan carpet, made of durable, natural materials. The way it is knotted and the diversity in patterns make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and artisanal character.
Hamadan is one of the world's oldest cities, located in the western part of Iran. A Hamadan carpet can be recognised by an often geometric medallion in a repeated design. There are also medallions with floral patterns. Hamadan carpets are durable carpets, made of glossy wool.
Hamadan carpets are good for daily use, with high durability.
This is a used carpet, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
This rug was imported from Iran before 2000.
Measurements: approx. 201 x 140 cm.
Main colour: Coral red.
Pink, salmon, cream, brown and shades of blue.
Rich abrash (natural colour differences); Lots of nap; Wonderful shine.
