|Technique:||Oil on canvas|
|Period:||20th / 21st century|
|Condition:||In good condition|
|Title of artwork:||Dame in restaurant met ober|
Skilfully painted, delicious bright painting of a rich lady in an expensive restaurant, wearing a couture dress, with a waiter in the background. It exudes class and was inspired by Isaac Israëls (1865-1934).
It measures 50 x 60 cm and is enclosed in a tasteful modern frame. The painting is ready to hang and admire.
When she was 14 years old, Anke Brokstra entered into an apprenticeship with artist Freek van den Berg (1918-2000). She married him and became his model. She painted an extensive oeuvre despite the fact that she had also become a professional musician (see the annals of the Dutch opera). Her work was undiscovered because she never exhibited. This work was acquired direct from the artist. Will be carefully packaged and sent by insured shipping, including a certificate of authenticity.
