Completely restored in 2017 - 2.25 L petrol

Transmission: Manual
Fuel: Petrol
Colour: Green
Year: 1968
Mileage in: kilometres
Condition: In very good condition
Brand: Land Rover
Registered in country: Netherlands
Model Type: Series III Lightweight

Fully restored, tax-free, LHD Land Rover Lightweight 2.25L petrol for sale.

The Lightweight was fully restored in the first half of this year, no expense spared.

Rare Lightweight prototype, only a few were produced as a forerunner to the official delivery of the Lightweight Land Rover series III. The car is completely original with matching numbers.

The Lightweight is fully restored, both visually and technically. The original 12V 2.25L petrol engine was also completely overhauled. The car is also equipped with new doors (upper and lower sections), new Exmoor Trim canvas cover, new rims and set of tyres as well as many very rare parts such as military headlights, battery heat shield, original 2-piece tailgate, new original capillary temperature gauges and more. The interior was also completely restored to original, including new seats.

The car is completely corrosion-free and was treated against corrosion both inside and out. In terms of lacquer, no expense was spared there either, entirely sprayed in Standox, a very unique special colour showing the Land Rover’s heritage background but without loosing the (ex)military character.

The car has driven less than 50 km since the restoration. The engine runs great and is literally brand new, everything works properly. The car also has a new MOT (Dutch periodic vehicle inspection) valid up to 05-07-2019, it passed at the first attempt without any problems.

In short, an extremely rare, problem-free Lightweight in absolutely new condition. It's the perfect beach/day cruiser, it drives and shifts wonderful. A pretty picture which will make heads turn.

The car is kept in a heated garage and is ready to go.

When purchasing a vehicle on Catawiki, there are a few important factors to note. The import fees and documentation of the vehicle will vary depending on its country of origin and the country to which it is being imported. Potential fees could include VAT and customs which need to be paid to the country directly and not to Catawiki. The vehicle must also be registered in the country where it is being imported. Please be aware that you may need different documentation for this. In any case, documentation of purchase is always required. If you need any more information on importing vehicles, have a look at the relevant government sites.
