Clock case in perfect condition, restored in 2015, minor signs of age, movement completely overhauled by a professional clockmaster, in perfect working condition. All bronzes gilt with 24K gold, in perfect condition.

Boulle style inlaid case with two columns, relief on front signed Charles Goret a Paris (master 1689) so the case is probably from late 17th / early 18th c., with movement changed in 19th c. Movement stamped JAPY FRERES & CIE, EXPOSITION 1855, GRANDE MED. D'HONNEUR, what allows us to precisly date the movement, made between 1855 and 1856. Original key, covered with gold (!). Dial made of gilt bronze with white enamel cartouches with black painted Roman characters.
