Cretaceous (66-70 mil y) - Bowman County, North Dakota, USA
Triceratops was a very large dinosaur. It could be up to nine metres long, three metres high and thirteen tons heavy. It had a huge head, a short neck, a sturdy narrow torso and a short tail which hung a little but did not drag on the ground.
The triceratops was a herbivore and had a set of teeth which was very suitable for that.
Of most teeth only the crown is found, here, however, a part of the root has been preserved.
