This is a hand-knotted Beluch carpet, made of durable, natural materials.
The way it is knotted and the diversity in patterns make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and artisanal character.
The Beluch are nomads who live on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. Beluch carpets often have geometric patterns and are often used as prayer rugs, with a top and a bottom.
Beluch carpets are durable, thin carpets, usually small in size, made of wool on a cotton warp.
They're often finely and tightly knotted.
They're good carpets for daily use, with high durability.
This is a used carpet, which has become more beautiful and richer in character thanks to the natural ageing process.
