Very beautiful plate decorated with lotus leaves and marked with an earlier emperor Hsüan Tê 1426-1435.
Obviously it made during the reign of emperor Kangxi (1662-1722), who did not want his name on the porcelain.
Because should the porcelain fall and break, his name would also break...
It is in beautiful condition, except for 1 chip and some frits.
The decoration is very rare and exceptional.
A similar plate was sold by Catherine Hunt.
Photos of that have been added.
The diameter of the plate is 21.4 cm.
The plate will be packaged very carefully for shipping.
