Ex Libris Victor Enmanuel (King of Italy)
A very important book by the Father of modern historical theory. Not bad for an ex Jesuit.
All editions were published after this 625 edition and differ in pagination. I surmise this 1625 edition is the true first while the subsequent ones corrected the errors noted in it. All notable US libraries, Newberry, Morgan, Huntington, etc. have the 1630 edition. Only two Italian libraries hold copies of the 1625 edition. The ice cream on the top is this book's Royal provenance.
