To celebrate the 4th centenary of the publication of the Second part of Don Quixote de la Mancha, we wanted to pay homage to the great literary figure of Miguel de Cervantes by reproducing the first edition of the first and second parts of his masterpiece of world literature. To do so we have put together a facsimile using the beautiful original copy held in the Library of Cigarral del Carmen (Toledo).
For the first time, both parts of Cervantes’ work are republished as complete copies, printed in Madrid by Juan de la Cuesta, and taken from a perfectly documented bibliographic history.
Quixote, with such an impressive and also insuperable legacy, reveals the spirit of a people who were unwilling to accept their destiny and who sought to forge their own future. Awarded as the best published facsimile by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Spain.
