The Berlage stool, also known as "The Museum Stool". Since the opening of the Municipal Museum in The Hague in 1935, the Berlage stool has been used in the museum. A light, handy stool made of varnished oak. The seat has a slight curvature and is made of plywood, stained in black. After a design of the municipal architect H.H. van Zeggeren and the head of the Central Workshops, H.G. Schouten. In the inside of both stools is a mark, which states that it is a reissue, commissioned by the Municipal Museum of The Hague, made in 2015. Height: 46.5 cm. Width: 34 x 34 cm. Made in 2015. The condition is good. Occasionally, this stool can be purchased in the shop of the Municipal Museum for €295. This lot can be picked up in The Hague (the Netherlands).
