Hardly used Suhl air gun HAENEL Mod.300 in original condition, made by the VEB vehicle and hunting weapon factory "Ernst Thälmann", Suhl in the former GDR. The 300 model series was built from 1965 to 1990 in two different barrel versions - rounded and angular. This air gun was purchased in used condition in the early 1980s. The external condition is shown on the photographs.
The model 300 is a tilting air rifle barrel with a pulled barrel, calibre 4.5 mm. It shoots DIABOLO ammunition. With a detachable telescopic sight of the brand NIKKO STIRLING "Mountie" 4 x 20, in addition a sliding sight, which is adjustable only in height. The trigger is adjustable.
The model 300 is quite basic regarding the options, but it’s handy, light and quite precise thanks to the pulled barrel. The muzzle velocity is about 130 m/s (performance at approx. 4.5 joules).
