This a handwoven kilim rug, made of durable, natural materials. Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Kilim carpets are woven in many countries and regions including Iran, Turkey, Morocco, but also in Tunisia.
Kilim rugs are often made of high-quality wool on a cotton or wool warp (bobbin thread). The patterns are often geometrical and angular in shape. Every nomad tribe has its own distinctive patterns.
Kilim carpets are used as rugs, tent cloths, sun roofs or carpets, and are excellent rugs for regular use, with a high durability.
This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
Main colour: shades of brick and yellow.
Accent colours: cream.
Particulars: wonderful shine, bright colours, rich abrash (mutually natural colour differences).
