Bowed string instrument called GUSLA.
From the Balkans. 
Instrument also called gusle.
It is related to violas. 
Hollow wooden body covered with sheepskin. 
With a single horsehair string. 
The body and the neck are made from one piece. 
The instrument is played upright, holding it between the knees, using a very curved bow.
No fingerboard. 
The length of the string is modified by the lateral pressure of the fingers of the instrumentalist. 
The instrument is decorated in the wood on the whole length, front, back and sides. 
Note that the end of the neck is sculpted in the shape of a goat head. 
I do not know the wood species. 
Working music instrument. 
Length: 64 cm. 
Width: 17 cm.
