Both necklaces are 100% expertly handmade.
The necklace with turquoise and Akoya pearl is a one-off design.
1. - Very beautiful Moroccan Tuareg jewellery - Nomads - North Africa. Circa 1950–1960.
Silver tested - showed a red line at 925, too, but to be on the safe side - 835.
Clasp - non-precious - silver plated copper?
Beautiful, natural, intense blue agate, perfectly cut.
Naturally blue agate is valuable and hard to find.
Gemstones are usually treated to enhance colour or clarity,
this was not tested for this specific item.
Inscriptions on the back, said to have protective properties.
With onyx beads - hand-carved and therefore all different.
Indication - 4/6 mm.
Measurements - Pendant - 5 x 4 cm - Necklace length 45 cm = excluding pendant.
Total weight - 22.80 g.
2. - Sterling silver - 925 - snake link necklace - Length 50 cm - Excluding the turquoise. With an Egyptian ANKH on the clasp.
Below that, a natural, untreated (so not howlite or something similar) old - 1950–1960 - fan-shaped - with small pyrite inclusions - 34 x 26 mm.
Engraved in a fan shape.
With a saltwater Akoya pearl - 8½ mm perfectly round - very good lustre with a pink glow - very few growth marks.
All parts are sterling silver - 925/1000.
Total weight - 10.35 g.
