Exceptional and rare vanity trio, collectible containers, dated to around 1880, made of emerald green glass decorated with polychrome floral motifs using the hand-engraving technique and heat applied glazes and gilt hues.
made in around 1880 in the Emile Gallé crystal works in Nancy, France whose speciality was transparent coloured glass, enriched with very delicate natural decor (flowers, butterflies) and sometimes oriental elements, engraved glass joined with polychrome glaze (inlaid crystals, patinated, brocaded; enamelled jewellery), opaque coloured glass with floral motifs, using the engraving technique,
the containers have engraved silver lids embossed with marked gallant scenes (see detailed photos which are an integral part of the description).
lids weigh a total of 213 grams of silver branded Malezieux ainé and a. Roger - two stamps on the side of the lids
size: round container 10 cm x 10.5 cm high excellent condition
round container 7 cm x 5.5 cm high excellent condition
rectangular container 12 cm x 8 cm x 6 cm high - good condition, small chip on the glass on one corner with a lesion on the lower part which does not affect its beauty - small missing parts from the edge of the lid on an area that is not chiselled.
