An exceptional,unique gold votive tablet on silver pedestal with lotus decoration.

Date: Cham Kingdoms,late 9th,early 10th century
Origine: Vietnam
Size: H : 224 mm , width : 82 mm ,Diameter of the pedestal is 82 mm
Shipping as registered mail-pack with insurance.

The votive tablet depicting a male deity in a standing position and is wears a long waistcloth with a lap in front,held by a wide belt.
The edge of the triangular lap is decorated with floral motifs.The deity has a rich collection of jewellery,consisting of a head ornament / kritamukuta /,neckles,arm ornament,bracelets,chest belt and ear pendants.His right arm os akimbo while in the left hand holds an undefiniable object.
The deity has a leaf-shaped aureole,with flames surrounding his body. His feet are formed on the pedestal,in front of the plaque.
The tablet is +- 16 K gold repoussé , pedestal,silver repoussé , weight 147,1 gr.

Provenance:
From the collection of one of the member of the Thai Royal Family.Acqusition by Dr.Zelnik , end ot the 90's in Bangkok. The piece is published in the book " Gold treasures of the Cham Kingdoms from the Colelction of Dr.Zelnik" pp . 59 , 104 and in the grand album "The Zelnik istván Southeast Asian Gold Museum" p . 99
The votive tablet has been insured by Allianz Germany for 500 000.- EUR
