Ca. 1891-1910, England
An absolutely stunning antique Aynsley porcelain dessert service decorated with an intricate arabesque pattern to the centre and beautiful vine/leaves pattern on the rim. The pattern is done in a classical palette of white, deep cobalt blue and lavish gold. The set is just awesome in person, my photos don't do it justice.
It is made by Aynsley, England. This backstamp was used between 1891 and 1910 approximately
The service comprises:.
- cake stand/comport. Height 12.5cm, diameter 23cm.
- oblong serving dish. Width 21.5 to 25cm at the widest point.
- rectangular serving dish. Width 21cm.
- 6 dessert plates. D22cm.
Condition: a couple of plates have very faint utensil marks or minor wear to gilding at the centre, but overall the set is in mint condition, no chips, cracks, restoration or gilding wear on the rim, the set appears to have hardly been used, it's very rare to find antique porcelain tableware in such exceptionally good condition. Please refer to the pictures for details.
