7.8 cm - signed, in good condition
Beautiful series of 6 red wine glasses in Baccarat crystal, model Talleyrand .
Model in cut crystal of the 1930s, Talleyrand is a beautiful and sober model derived from the famous model Harcourt, flagship of the Crystal company: 6 large facets on a strong crystal, but the glass is lower (so less exposed to breakage) and its foot is circular, topped with a ball. The Talleyrand model is listed in the Baccarat catalogue of the ’Arts de la Table’ from 1933. The production went on after 1936 and until the end of the 20th century, some copies are signed by Baccarat, others not: indeed, 1936 is the date at which the Crystal factory replaced the paper label, leaving after a few washes, by the acid-etched stamp.
The glasses we sell here are signed: they show the stamp of the Baccarat brand under the foot.
The model has been a commercial success: it was produced in large quantities and enough to make possible, even today, to restock a set.
Height: 7.8 cm
