Fulvia first series, known as “Fulvia 1C”, is very rare and comfortable yet delivering little performance. This fine car was intentionally designed with an underpowered engine by Piero Fessia, Lancia’s technical director of that time, in order to reaffirm his strong brand vision as a carmaker devoted to luxury rather than sportiness. However, this choice determined an early market exit: in fact the car was manufactured for only two years (1963-1964).
The model offered at auction is almost one of a kind for its originality conditions and the peculiar non-standard colour combination (presumably original). The car has been never restored. Very good mechanics and good aesthetic conditions: fair paint, nice chrome, original interior in excellent conditions. The gearbox lever on the steering wheel is characteristic to the first series. Registration booklet, vintage black number plates and original certificate of ownership from 1964, which complete the vehicle equipment. It is sold with an inspection valid until the end of 2019. Service upon delivery by a highly specialized workshop.
