The bedspread, richly embroidered with a central rose, 4 birds that act as a frame, angels and various floral motifs surrounded by volutes, finished on three sides with a wide fringe of the same colour. Being an original Damask, it has only one colour: the design, then, is distinguished from the background because is made from the inside out of the armour, which is more opaque (see the pictures). The fabric is well preserved, without rips, with very few signs of ageing. Some pictures do not express the true, antique pink, colour of the bedspread due to the reflection of the light on the shiny silk. The famous silk of San Leucio decorates some of the most famous historic and prestigious homes in the world. From the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome to the Kremlin, the White House and the Vatican.
