Beautiful very finely carved ivory bust.
The figure is in good condition in accordance with its age. It has a beautiful patina. See the pictures for a good impression.
In earlier times, in the early 20th century, during the colonial period, commercial travellers and missionaries brought back ivory from the former Colony: Belgian Congo. Mostly carved with African motifs.
Dimensions height: approximately 38 cm, total weight approximately 1500 grams.
The provider guarantees that this is antique ivory, crafted before 1947, and thus, permitted under CITES regulations. The item comes with an original certificate issued by appraisal office Ruyten.
