'A Retrospective' is a monograph of the most important work of Rineke Dijkstra. The catalogue contains the famous beach portraits (1992-2002) and earlier work such as the photos of new mothers and bullfighters. This is combined with a selection of later work, such as images of her videos. Also featured are series which the world famous photographer has worked on for years, such as Almerisa (1994-), that shows a young immigrant girl growing up and adapting to her new environment. Comes with several essays about the work of Dijkstra, an interview with the photographer herself and interviews with some portrayed people. The book looks like new, only a small, light fold at the bottom of the pages (see photo).
