This large, heavy, refined old bronze figurine of a BENIN warrior riding his horse is a true beauty!! Have a good look at the pictures for the many details, the beautiful styling and the wonderful bronze patina.  Also, the horse was well finished off, with many striking details.  The sculpture is unique, it was cast following the “cire perdue” (lost wax) technique, where the mould disappears during the casting process.  Therefore, this sculpture is unique. The figurine remains in good condition, it will be packed with care and sent by registered mail.

Depth: ca. 17 cm.

Provenance: region of Benin City, Nigeria.
