Sterling Silver 925/1000 - 220 grams
A sterling silver chamberstick made in 1771 in the reign of George III. It is nine cms tall disregarding the snuffer.and the base measures 13 cms.
Including the snuffer, the overall weight is 220 grams.
The hallmarks under the dish (see image 6) shows it has been made in London in 1771 by the distinguished silversmith Ebenezer Coker. The snuffer is also hallmarked.
There are signs of wear and some dents which you might expect for an object that is almost 250 years old.
