Very remarkable lamp designed by Jacques Biny.
Extra: Jacques Biny (1913-1976) was a French industrial and interior designer. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In the 1950s, he started focusing on designing lighting. This resulted in a number of very special designs. In the absence of a suitable firm that could manufacture his designs, he founded his own lighting design company called Luminalité in 1953. His workshop was located in rue de la Folie Régnault in Paris. Biny designed some designs for the Lita France company as well. In 2015, there were exhibitions of his lamps in the Design Miami / Basel in the Pascal Cuisinier Gallery in Basel and in Paris in 2015. Lamps designed and made by Jacques Biny are highly appreciated and collected nowadays.

Please note: some elements on this page have been translated automatically.Ik betwijfel dat de maker Carlo Moretti (Murano) is. Het label duidt op glas uit Empoli, maar dat is ook niet zeker. Overigens de kan en de glazen waren keurig verpakt en zijn vlot verzonden.
Delighted with the item !
