Very sought-after shield in a beautiful condition
This is a RAC Badge, created in ca. 1930-1935.
So it is over 80 years old. In a very good original condition.
A unique badge; actually with two sides; the front and back
are substantially different!
A so-called Full Member Badge.
Depicting a wheel carried by the god Mercury and a crown at the top.
At the front is an image of King Edward VII who was the first Royal patron of
the organization in 1907.
On the back is the flag of the United Kingdom in beautiful enamel.
The enamel is still in excellent condition as you can see in the photo.
Chrome is in the original condition with some pitting; beautiful patina.
Height of this shield is about 13 centimetres.
The shield will be very carefully packed, insured and shipped with registered mail.
