Very beautiful antique Maasai African art sculpture by the Akamba tribe in Kenya, Africa at no reserve price!

Provenance: From a huge Scandinavian private collection.

The Kamba people (Akamba Tribe) are considered the best carvers, & have long been known as skilled woodworkers. These Kamba craftsmen create a unique hybrid of style, by creating a distinctive beauty of African art object. They carve each figure using only simple hand tools of axes, various-sized knives, and sandpaper.

This carving is made of ebony tree which is a very rare, very heavy, and very expensive wood. Pay a close attention to this decorative piece of African art, & take note of the details of the carving & art work. 

Very heavy at 3.613 kgs. & dimensions: 26 cm height, 40 cm circumference, 15 cm diameter.
  
Item coated with special wood oil which gives additional protection to the wood.
