1930, Thulin, Belgium
A very rare streamlined jug with 3 openings/spouts in a beautiful flowing running or drip glaze in turquoise/green- blue colour, typical of the S.A. de Faïenceries de Thulin.
At one tome the Borinage has a lot of ceramic studios. The ceramic industry especially flourished during the interbellum. Also in Thulin, where there was a faiencerie active since 1863. The company closed its gates in 1970. At the pinnacle of the production in the 1920s, more than 1120 employees were employed. This nice vase has been made in the Art Deco style.
This vase is depicted in the book 'Waals aardewerk voor de huiskamer de productie van de S.A. des Faïenceries de Thulin'.
Marked with model number 217 and ‘Made in Belgium’.
It is in very intact condition and it is a rare model.
A height of 14 cm and it weighs 670 grams.
It has a bottom diameter of 11 cm, a depth of 14 cm and a width of 20 cm.
