Beautiful and large old model sailing ship the "MayFlower" (1609) with 3 masts and 21 sails. Is made very detailed.
It's an old wooden model ship with just a few plastic parts and has a fixed plinth on which the ship rests.
The Mayflower was a ship in which a number of English and Dutch settlers sailed to America to start a new life, free from religious persecution. The ship was built in a shipyard that belonged to the legendary Darley family. The ship departed on 6th September 1620 from Plymouth and had 102 settlers on board, in part members of a community who had lived for a number of years in Leiden, the Netherlands.
Good condition but has an old, yet successful, repair to a mast (see photos).
To this is added:
Particular Sail Amsterdam '85-poster with sailing ship "Gorch Fock" of embroidery.
It has beautiful images, we see an angel (of the Maritime museum in Milan), many colourful flags and the coat of arms of Amsterdam.
It is mounted on heavy cardboard. It is, however, recommended to frame it.
The poster measures: 91 cm x 72 cm
An asset in any interior with a nautical touch.
Good condition. Photos are an addition to the description of the condition.
